From Darren Barefoot:
I’m doing the 30-Hour Famine. The 30-Hour Famine is a program run by World Vision Canada, an NGO that fights hunger in the developing world. For 30 hours on April 1st and 2nd, I won’t eat, as a kind of symbolic gesture of support for the 800 million malnourished and starving people in the developing world. At the same time, of course, I’m raising money.
Darren is a great guy and prolific blogger up in Vancouver, BC, and I encourage everybody to read about Darren’s 30-hour Famine
Just to whet your appetite:
I first learned about the 30-Hour Famine 15 years ago, when I participated in grade 11. There’s a slightly tawdry story that goes along with it, but you won’t hear it until I receive 10 donations.
