It’s the first 4th of July that I won’t be watching fireworks in 6 six years. I’m a little bummed about that, but I was always one to break tradition for the sake of not being tied down by it.
It has been an awesome experience here in Vancouver, BC, so far. There are people on the streets, which is quite a change from the calm of San Jose. I haven’t noticed many people talking funny yet, but I expect to.
Oh, I did see a game of cricket being played: I have to get my baseball glove up here. Cricket. Hah!
Everybody has been very welcoming. I’ve still got a lot to do to get settled in, but my apartment is cozy, and I apparently even have a house cleaner.
Still lacking the net, I am writing this from somebody else’s bandwidth.
